Mixing It Up With Couscous

One of my favorite ingredients for any healthy recipe is Couscous. Think rice, but better!
So what is it?  From Wikipedia:
Couscous is a traditional Berber dish of semolina which is cooked by steaming. It is traditionally served with a meat or vegetable stew spooned over it.

Couscous is a staple to any healthy meal plan. It is considered a carbohydrate but it has a great serving of protein as well. It is absolutely delicious and easy to mix in with just about anything. Get even more creative with sauces and dressings to make this part of a truly yummy meal!

What to watch for: A box of couscous can be a little spendy relative to a box/bag of rice and you have to pay attention to your serving sizes since there are calories and carbohydrates that can ruin even the best intended meal plans.
