DELISH, FRESH and IRRESISTIBLE. This recipe is out of the “Favorites” cook book. My cute sister in law told me that I had better get it on my blog or she will be bugging it for me. So this is for you Marianne 🙂 I added a few things and maneuvered the dressing to make it a wam bam thank u ma am salad! I took this to a baby shower a few weeks ago and it was so yummy. I just took it again to another event and it was delicious once again.
It doesn’t have a really strong oriental taste to it. The flavor is still fabulous and addicting though. You should for sure try this. It makes quite a bit and will satisfy all of your guests perfectly.
*3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (I usually add a little more chicken. Also I have used boiled or rotisserie and both are great)
*1 package won tons (I like sesame ginger ones). You can make your own or just buy them in the produce department.
*1 head iceberg lettuce, torn into pieces
*1/2 bag baby spinach (or large leaves torn)
*1 large can mandarin oranges, drained
*1 can water chestnuts, drained (I didn’t add these)
*1 4 oz package slivered almonds, toasted
*1/4 cup sesame seeds, toasted (I just threw seeds and nuts onto a cookie sheet and put in the oven for 20 min at 350)
*1 bunch green onions, chopped
*1 10 oz three cheese tortellini (cooked)
8 Tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
8 Tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 cup vegetable oil
-You won’t use all of the dressing but close to it. Luvs!
