This was super easy to prepare and had a different flavor than anything I’ve made before. Coating it with the flour added a great texture as well. It does have butter in it/which generally steers me away, but for heavens sake TRY IT. You cannot deprive the loved ones or yourself of this one my friends. The next night can be an all salad meal…or not?!INGREDIENTS:
10 skinless chicken breasts (I used a 9×13 pyrex full of tenders instead/remember non stick spray before)
1 cup flour
1 tsp garlic salt
3 T butter, plus 8 T more (separated)….( next time I will only use 5 Tablespoons instead of the 8) you decide for yourself.
1/2 cup honey
6 Tablespoons lemon juice
4 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon ginger
1- un-thaw your chicken if frozen
2- melt 3 T butter on cookie sheet in heating oven.
3- mix flour with garlic salt and coat chicken pieces with flour and garlic salt mixture
4- bake the coated chicken in pan at 350 for 20 minutes
5- while cooking mix together melted butter, honey, lemon juice, soy sauce and ginger.
6- turn chicken over and pour honey mixture over chicken… *baste frequently
7- cook another 20 minutes or until mixture turns golden brown and juices run clear
*I served it with red potatoes (used the sauce to drizzle over spuds), veggies and fruit. It would taste great over rice as well! Be ready for lots of happy smiles when you serve it :):):)
